“SO WONDERFUL WE CAN’T WAIT TO COME BACK”
Reviewed October 2015 on TripAdvisor
This inn is a once in a lifetime find. It's a sweet bed and breakfast tucked away in the mountains of the stunning Fayston/Waitsfield area of Vermont. Look in any direction, and your view is of spectacular mountains, ski slopes, and beautiful woods, as far as the eye can see. We were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome as soon as we walked in by Bob, one of the co-owners of the inn, and Teddy, the fluffy, lovable resident rescue dog. Bob brought us to our room, and gave us some history on the inn, as well as the room we were staying in. The room (we stayed in the Slalom Room), was gorgeous, with a view that looked out on the mountain. After getting settled in, we went downstairs to look around. There is a wonderful community room with spacious seating, books, magazines, games, a huge fireplace, and a Keurig coffee maker constantly stocked with a wide variety of coffees (many of them Green Mountain, because you're in Vermont, right?) and teas, as well as decadent in-house baked treats, available anytime.
The other co-owner, Allen, is responsible for the amazing food. Fresh baked cookies and brownies available in the Great Room, and outrageous breakfasts each morning. Banana ricotta pancakes, whole wheat blueberry waffles, potato basil and roasted vegetable frittatas were just a few of the selections available while we stayed at the inn. In addition, the buffet was filled with bacon and sausage, fresh fruit salad, muffins, turnovers, cranberry almond pound cake, bagels, fresh coffee in a variety of flavors... I could go on and on.
I am so happy I stumbled upon this little treasure in the woods. Bob is incredibly knowledgeable of the area and can give you lots of suggestions on where to go, what to do, and things to see. The hospitality we experienced during our stay was truly wonderful, and we were made to feel less like guests, and more like old friends. Please visit this beautiful inn if you get the opportunity to travel through Vermont. You will not be sorry. We cannot wait to return next year!

“WISH THERE WERE 10 STARS”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor October 2015
This had to be one of the best experiences of inn staying that we have ever had. The room accommodations were of good size, clean, decorated nicely. The shower can be a little funky, which we were told, if on the 3rd floor. It was sometimes hard to get a full and powerful spray but certainly it was satisfactory. The inn holds a good many people and was pretty full when we stayed. However, you would never know it. It must be the charming and restful ambiance that mellows even the loudest of us!
What can we say about the food? Besides the wonderful home made breakfast selections there were 3 selections of pastries available in the living room daily, also home made and delicious. The Keurig allows guests to make either fresh tea or coffee.
Although there is not a bar to sit at, there is an extensive beer and wine menu from which to choose and which is cheerfully delivered to you. If one prefers to bring one's own alcoholic beverage from home than it may be consumed in your room. Fair enough, I say. The two innkeepers are quiet yet friendly and warm. Because they take care of most everything they are seldom@ the reception foyer, but make it very clear that you should call them for anything and leave you 3 numbers go do so. They do have a young man cleaning and making up the rooms and he did it well.
It's worth reading about Bob and Allen's backgrounds. To us it increased our appreciation of the quality experience we had there's! I only wish Allen would make dinner, but that would mean no sleep at all I fear!

“CHARMING, LOVELY B&B IN VERMONT MOUNTAINS”
Reviewed on TripAdvisor October 2015
We loved staying at the White Horse Inn! The library/fireplace room is simply wonderful - in the afternoons/evenings there is lovely classical music playing and it feels so relaxing to read there. The owners' dog, Teddy, quietly stopped by to say hello and laid at our feet while we read. The room was comfortable with nice touches such as locally made soap and plenty of storage space. The rec room is very nice with a large screen tv, bar area and games. The best part of our stay was the hearty and delicious breakfast served each morning. We couldn't get enough of the egg dishes and bacon! We truly enjoyed staying at White Horse and would recommend. We would love to come back again for a visit.

“Wonderful bed &. Breakfast-great location”

We loved this location as a center to see Vermont. Close to Burlington, Montpelier, and Stowe. We did lots of different things on this trip and used this as a base to stay in 1 spot. The room was spaciousness and clean. Wifi worked well and we loved the cookies (3 different kinds daily) they had out throughout the day along with a keurig with coffee and teas. Not to mention the incredible breakfast spread! Bacon and sausage, either pancakes, waffles or French toast, and always a frittata or egg quiche of some sort. Also banana bread, muffins, fruit, cereal, and many other options. If you can't find something to eat here, you're way too picky! Bob and Allen really know how to run an incredible place-everything we needed and more. Highly recommend this place!
A Massachusetts Favorite

We’ve noticed the largest number of license plates in our parking lot are from the Bay State.
